The MDG PROJECT launched Alice’s career as an illustrator. The project included eight original posters along with discussion points for prompting conversations about making the Millennium Development Goals global issues more personal. TAP the images below to view the discussion points.

Overcome Extreme Hunger + Poverty

Over a billion people in the world live on or below the international poverty line of one dollar a day. Poverty leads to hunger.

Fair wages feed families.

Unleash Potential, Educate Children

When children learn they generate creative energy and a brighter future.

Illuminate minds. Educate ALL children.

Advocate for Equality + Empower Women

There is harmony when differences unite. Integration requires accepting diversity and empowering others.

Raise your voice. Insist on equality.

End Child Mortality

A child’s first month of life is its most vulnerable, especially for the marginalized. Where you live shouldn’t determine if you live.

Ensure that every child thrives.

Embrace Maternal Health

Maternal health requires adequate health service, equipment, supplies and skilled health care providers.

Mothers are essential. Support them.

Defy Diseases

Diseases can be managed, if not eradicated entirely. Overcoming the stigma and isolation of disease requires education and caring communities.

Defy diseases. Restore hope.

Cherish the Earth, Air + Water

The sentinels are telling us something. We have but one world.

Live in it mindfully.

Partner for Fair Markets + Development

Market transparency and access to technology open the global circle. Scarcity is overcome with abundance.

Support developing countries.

millennium development goals

If you’re unfamiliar with them, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were established by the United Nations in 2000 with a completion date set for 2015. While significant progress was made towards accomplishing the goals, their issues continue to need our attention and support.
